Chief Val Demings Meets With Community Leaders and Voters in Broward County
FORT LAUDERDALE— Yesterday, former Orlando Police Chief and candidate for the U.S. Senate Congresswoman Val Demings spoke with community leaders and voters during events in Broward County.
Chief Demings began the day at Sistrunk Multicultural Center, where she met with local Black pastors. After a prayer and speech, Chief Demings took questions from community leaders and supporters.
Next, Chief Demings joined Venezuelan-American leaders in Pembroke Pines for a roundtable discussion. During the meeting, she highlighted her support for the Venezuelan-American community in Florida and discussed standing up to the Maduro regime, ensuring Temporary Protected Status for refugees, and keeping our communities safe.
Chief Demings ended the day speaking with educators and activists at the Broward Teachers Union in Tamarac. Demings spent time meeting with supporters and reiterated her promise to represent all Floridians as Senator.
